Talking about a person I admire

Hi everyone!! Today I'm gonna talk about one of the people that I admire, in this case, it will be, Rosalind Franklin. I admire her because she is one of the most promiment female figures in the field of molecular biology.



She was a british scientist , best known for her contributions to the discovery of the molecular structure of DNA. She was born on July, 25, 1920 in London and died on April 16, 1958 in the same city but for ovarian cancer.



Her work focused on X-ray crystallography, a technique designed to study the shape and structure of molecules, Her knowledge helped to determine the structure of DNA, in fact, she took photos that demonstrated it's double helix. Photos which helped Watson and Crick in their discoveries about the structure of DNA. They, and Maurice Wikins received the Nobel for it, however, Franklin was excluded from that recognition.

Hello everyone!  The blog of today is gonna be about my favorite food: Sushi. The sushi it´s a food from Japan, it´s a roll that can be made with different ingredients, my favorite has shrimp wrapped in tempura. It´s made of a rice base with seaweed on top, then you add cream cheese and any ingredient you want, for example: mushwoom, salmon, chicken, kanikama, etc. I like it because it´s tasty and I can mix seafood with vegetables, also I can add soy sauce or ceviche if I want. I guess it´s good for my health because it has protein from fish (Omega 3 ) and vegetables like avocado, chives, paprika, carrots,etc. That´s all for today, thanks for reading!.

Why did I choose my major?

I decided to study Chemistry and Pharmacy because Chemistry always was very easy to understand, interesting and entertaining for me, because I was lucky to have good teachers at the school and pre-university. They motivated me to decide to enter to the university and this career. My other options were Dance, Veterinary Medicine and Marine Biology. When I was younger, my dream job was to be a dancer or a soccer player, anyway I still practice them as hobbies. My first year in the career, was in 2020. It was very difficult to meet people and my classmates because of Covid-19. But after a months we met through videocalls and we establish a great friendship between us, so, that's how I've been survived to get through university until now.

Who am I?

Hi everyone! My name is Catalina Cares, but all my friends called me ''Cici''. Currently I'm studying Chemistry & Pharmacy at the University of Chile in the city of Santiago. I was born in Los Ángeles, Chile on March 7th, 2001. But since I'm studying here I'm living in Peñalolén. When I was in Los Ángeles, I used to live with ;my mom, Carolina; my younger sister, Isidora; and my cat, Polo, is a male and he is 2 years and a half. In my free time, I dance or play football. But the most part of the time im watching anime, my favourites are ;FMAB, Haikyuu!!, JoJo's, AOT & Naruto, I even have tattoes of some of them. Thanks for reading.
